In Tajikistan, Women Prefer to Draw Single-line Eyebrows

In Tajikistan, a unique beauty trend among women has caught the attention of many. Women here often sport a distinct makeup style - drawing a single, thick line for eyebrows.

Typically, Tajik girls are dressed in a traditional way. They wear a flowery headscarf, a long robe that reaches the ankles, always paired with long pants underneath, and often go barefoot in slippers. While they generally don't engage in elaborate makeup, their natural eyes are beautiful and their eyebrows are thick. However, one form of makeup is quite common. They use a dark and thick eyebrow pencil to connect their two eyebrows, creating an appearance as if there is only one thick eyebrow on the forehead. This "single-line eyebrow" look is extremely eye-catching.

Not only women in traditional costumes follow this trend, but even modern, fashionably-dressed women also draw such single-line eyebrows. When asked about this, a local female tour guide who can speak English explained that Tajik women like to draw single-line eyebrows and wear embroidered caps. They consider this as a form of courtesy to others. This unique makeup style in Tajikistan, which may be different from the beauty standards in other cultures, reflects the country's distinct cultural traditions and aesthetic preferences.
