Compound Bow Archery Heats up for 2028 LA Olympics

The addition of the compound bow mixed team event to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics has sparked a wave of enthusiasm in the archery world, with 各界 eagerly anticipating this Olympic debut. It is the first time since 1972 that a new type of bow has been introduced into the Olympic Games.

Compound bows were developed in the United States nearly 60 years ago and made their international debut at the World Archery Youth Championships in Italy in 1994. Since the first Archery World Cup in 2006, compound bows have been one of the event items and are also part of the World Games. "I can't believe that the compound bow has entered the 2028 Olympics. There will be so many athletes working hard for this in the next few years. Our Olympic dream has finally come true," said James Lutz, an American archery athlete, to the American Archery Association.

This new event not only enriches the variety of Olympic archery events but also provides a broader stage for archery athletes worldwide. It is believed that the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will become a milestone in the development of archery, and the compound bow event will surely bring more excitement and surprises to the Olympic Games.
